Show Notes: Welcome to Ep. 103. Later I’m going to talk about manure as a soil amendment. It’s 420 all month, where is the celebration, and virtual sessions? Strain of the Week: Irene OG - a.k.a. “Irene Kush,” is a sativa dominant hybrid (60% sativa/40% indica) strain and is a powerful phenotype of what I call an heirloom strain, the OG Kush. It had this sweet peppery, like nutmeg taste and gassy at the end. This bud had a 22% THC level but it was a heavy hitting flower because I felt it right away after the first hit. This is a good “one-n-done” if you have something to do, because more than one and you are going to be too “HIGH”. So if you need to be crisp don’t smoke this. It didn’t put me into the couch, which was great. I was super focused on what I was doing until something shiny caught my eye. I was feeling really jazzy, dancy, you know, almost biting my lower lip. The internet says it’s good for mild to moderate cases of depression, chronic stress, insomnia, chronic fatigue, and chronic pain.
Social Media: The CDFA Proactive IPM Solutions program is now accepting applications for their Biologically Integrated Farming Systems (BIFS) grant programs . The goal of the Proactive IPM Solutions grant program is to anticipate which exotic pests are likely to arrive in California and to identify and test IPM strategies that can be rapidly implemented if the pests become established in California. CDFA is responsible for preventing and mitigating invasive pests in California. Techniques resulting from the Proactive IPM Solutions Program will allow for rapid deployment of future management plans.
